• Why use a third party to calibrate? Third party laboratories such as Humidity Systems can most often provide more personal service and quicker turnaround times generally at a lower cost. This represents not only a monetary savings but a reduction in downtime.
  
• The manufacturer of my hygrometer(s) advises that they and only they calibrate my hygrometer. Can I utilize a third party laboratory like Humidity Systems? Most manufactures recommend that you exclusively utilize their services for your equipment. A fact some manufacturers oftentimes forget that it is YOUR equipment and outside of its normal warranty period, any qualified provider can service and/or calibrate your hygrometer(s). These manufacturers recommend their services for one reason: profit. Be cautious not to confuse their greed with genuine concern. It is YOUR equipment; the decision who services it is YOURS. Our recommendation is that you only use service providers which you are most comfortable with and provide you with the best service and most overall value.
  
• Aren't the necessary calibration procedures proprietary? In most cases NO. In fact quality instrumentation manufacturers include calibration procedures and any necessary documentation within the manual. These manuals usually shipped with your instrument when new or are downloadable from the company's website. Intelligent manufacturers realize the importance of you getting your equipment serviced and/ or calibrated as quickly and efficiently as possible.
